Venishree and Juergen acquired Fraaigelegen Farm in 2016 as an ideal country escape to retreat, rejuvenate and to just listen to the silence. Add to that...wine, food and glorious sunshine and snow-topped mountain ranges!

The well-travelled couple resigned from their corporate roles in Germany, travelled for a few months in their camper van with Afra (a German Hovawart breed) through the Nordic and Baltic States and then did the bold move with Afra to the stunning Tulbagh Valley in South Africa.

They have now settled in their new roles as wine and olive producers and have a wonderful local team lead by Manager Shane Reynolds. In the meantime they have added Sasha (a Husky/Swiss Shepherd rescue from the local Chain Boland), chickens and peafowls as well.
